FUNDRAISER BENEFITS ACCESSIBILITY PROJECT

Confluence Restaurant was the setting for Bethany’s first major renovation project of 2011. Members of the congregation, friends, and supporters gathered at Confluence Restaurant on April 30, 2011 to support Bethany’s accessibility project.
The evening called Jazz After Five began with a silent auction which was followed by dinner. The smooth sounds of Urban Jazz Coalition provided music for the evening and Yolanda Harris, an ABC-6 and FOX-28 anchor, served as the guest MC.
Pastor Burse welcomed the guests and explained the goals of the fundraiser. Bethany is raising money to redesign and reconstruct the current ramp so that those with mobility challenges can participate in church activities and services. A memorial garden is also part of the construction plan.
After a wonderful evening of jazz, we look forward to our next fundraiser.
