On July 21, 2013, Bethany celebrated 95 years of witness and service in the King Lincoln district. On Friday, the 19th, the anniversary hosted a Jazz Pancake Supper with music provided by the Elliot Baccus Project. The Friday supper also provided an opportunity to celebrate the 90th birthday of Rev. Ward S. Parham, former pastor of Bethany.
On Sunday, Gladys Cooper Jennings, daughter of Bethany’s first pastor, Rev. Henry W. Cooper, delivered a powerful message–“Telling Our Stories.” A reception followed morning worship.
